What an exciting year! I started this company giving Stuffitts away to friends, families and fellow competitors. Now, it's turned into something much more than that. It's become a legitimate startup business.
Since the ING Expo in Atlanta earlier this year, I've made remarkable progess thanks to all the fantastic support from the endurance sports community. I just thought I'd share a few milestones and accomplishments.
* I signed a sponsorship agreement with Conrad Stoltz (www.conradstoltz.com), the 3-time (soon to be 4) Xterra World Champion. Xterra is the off-road triathlon circuit (www.xterraplanet.com). Conrad really likes the product and uses it routinely. I am incredibly fortunate to have been given the opportunity to work with such a gifted athlete and great person.
* I signed a 3-year sponsorship agreement with www.team-magic.com, one of the premier triathlon event organizers in the country. They are an excellent group of people and I am proud to be associated with them. I worked with them at the Powerman Duathlon World Qualifier this spring in AL where we provided Stuffitts to each racer with their registration. Since the event, I've had great feedback from many of the racers. Thank you.
* I signed a 1-year sponsorship agreement with the Atlanta Trailblazers Adventure Racing Club (www.trailblazerar.com). I really like Zach Doppel the club President, who has been very supportive of the product and my involvement in the club. I certainly am looking forward to racing at least once this year.
* I made a great friend in Eileen Steil (www.eileensteil.com/). While not a household name, she should be. Eileen is only the 4th woman (1st American woman) in the world to have completed the pennultimate endurance event-- the deca Ironman. That's right, it's 10 Ironman races wrapped up in one single multi-day event. The totals are incomprehensible: 24 mile swim/1,120 mile bike/262 mile run. Best of all, she's one of the coolest people I've ever met. Oh yeah, she is a very happy Stuffitts user as well!
